Our client is a dynamic, people-focused national not-for-profit organisation that provides expert services to prospective and current employees, businesses and government. They specialize in recruitment, employment, training, offering temporary and permanent staff, apprentices, trainees and training for individuals and workplaces as well as general support services.

Due to continued growth of this organisation, an opportunity has opened up for a full-time IT Client Support Officer based in their Scarborough based office.

In this great role you will report directly to the IT Client Support Manager. You will provide front line IT support for users by providing technical support and troubleshooting for all aspects of computer hardware and software.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Client support and helpdesk management
  • Maintenance of backup operations 
  • Infrastructure and application support and maintenance
  • Documentation of procedures, processes, helpdesk, testing and system configuration
  • Provide timely responses to all IT enquiries or concerns
  • Assist as an active and knowledgeable participant, in the research, identification and evaluation of new technologies that may support and benefit ICT service delivery
  • Establish and maintain administrative procedure and practices for the IT team where required
  • Actively contribute to the preparation and review of ICT maintenance programmes
  • Provide client support to users and ensuring that users’ requests are understood, properly documented and prioritised
  • Respond to assigned job requests in a timely manner and communicating with or escalate to other team members to optimise client response times
  • Investigate issues and accurately record actions taken, diagnostic information, outcomes and time taken in the support log
  • Develop procedures and help sheets to assist with instructing users with appropriate practices

Your skills and experience should include:

  • Certificate IV in Information Technology or similar industry qualification
  • Strong experience in supporting a corporate Microsoft environment
  • Demonstrated experience in local area network administration, desktop hardware or software support, IT operations support, ICT security support
  • Aptitude and desire to provide responsive customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and document ICT processes or user support outcomes
  • Excellent time and work management skills
  • Ability to prioritise and complete work independently and/or as a team member
  • Ability to manage change and disruptions in workflow and processes
  • Good working knowledge of hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Windows Server, SCCM and Desktop deployment
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Ability to identify network issues and pinpoint area of issue especially in regards to user operations
  • Understanding of tiered security approach and firewalling rules
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a wider team where the role is expected to seek guidance from and give support to fellow team members
  • Demonstrate a positive, considerate and helpful manner in working with all members of staff or ICT clients
